The brand was launched in March 2017 and the site, only a blog at the time has grown into a global fashion, beauty and lifestyle destination for a community of colour and print loving individuals. By studying the needs and tastes of her audience, Jamila Kyari spotted an opportunity to create comfy, chic and casual print apparel in simple styles — ones that could fit easily in any into any closet, pairing with existing outfits without looking too eccentric. Eventually, a limited collection of tote bags was born. And these remain a fun, yet subtle means of easing beginners into the maximalist lifestyle.
