Meghan Markle Stuns in Mayamiko Dress for Royal Tour

Meghan Markle has always taken the clean and polished approach to style. It was no different when she recently chose Mayamiko’s Dalitso dress on her visit to Nyanga – a town in CapeTown, South Africa. During the royal tour, Markle and her husband met with locals from the township who were participating in a seminar run by an non-profit organization called The Justice Desk and there, they spoke about women’s rights and safety. Markle delivered a stellar speech in her address to the women saying she was speaking not only as a member of the Royal Family, but also as a wife, a mother, a woman of color, and their sister. “I am here with you and I am here for you,” she said.

Markle paired her dress with a pair of Castañer’s wedge espadrilles to create an overall ensemble that looked very tasteful. Made out of one hundred per cent cotton in Malawi, the wrap dress features short capped sleeves, cinches around the waist and falls loosely beyond the knee, providing enough room to move in. The former SUITS star was even able to dance in this dress with the locals during her visit.

Established by Paola Masperi, Mayamiko is an ethical and sustainable woman’s wear brand. According to the brand’s website, “Mayamiko aims to help the most disadvantaged people in Malawi by nurturing their creative talents and turning them in to sustainable activities that could be transferable to trade practices.” While the Dalitso dress is currently sold out via their online store, there loads more dresses to choose from that are beautiful and equally as good.

Yes this dress and her whole look is tasteful but also fun and quite chic. I love that this brand is sustainable and that such a high profile is wearing it and bringing additional brand awareness.
